Coupled with tours of the vast wine regions of the world, Maria was inspired to succeed her father and mentor, Serafino (Steve) Maglieri into the family business. Under her guardianship, Serafino has expanded to include more than 300 acres under vine in McLaren Vale and a new winery, purpose built for trivial batch production. To Maria, Serafino means family, quality and happiness, and the safeguarding of a legacy for generations to come. Upon his return to Australia, Charles took up a position at Rose mount where he divided his time between Rose mount in the Hunter Valley and technical assistance to the handing Winery in North Eastern China for several years, before focusing on wine making for Rose mount and moving to South Australia in 1994.
